Once the powder is mixed with water or water based paint, the active ingredient comes alive and starts feeding off the mould, eventually growing itself, spreading and killing the mould. It lives on and feeds from potential mould growth, therefore preventing any potential mould growth in the future for a long time.
Chemical fungicides often irritate people’s lungs and eyes and they evaporate in a short duration of time. They only clean the surface and don't get the deep roots of mould. Hungry Mould Eater has no odor, no harmful effects and lives on walls and ceilings for a long time preventing new mould growth. It also grows into the pores of the walls killing the mould in its deepest roots. Conventional chemical treatments are usually reapplied several times a year, while Hungry Mould Eater can under certain conditions work for up to several years.
Hungry Mould Eater should be used alone. If any chemical fungicide has been used on the same wall, one shall wait for about a week to apply Hungry Mould Eater to make sure the biological agent won’t be compromised.
Once a sachet is open, it shall be used entirely, otherwise the moisture from the air could activate the unused portion.
When mixed with paint, standard water based paint shall be used. A paint with chemical fungicides could reduce the effectiveness of Hungry Mould Eater.
Hungry Mould Eater shall not be used in mushroom farms.
